Mycala Cherry, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with experience across wilderness, residential, outpatient, academic, and telehealth settings. She earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University and provides individual and family therapy for adolescents, young adults, and families.

Mycala is certified in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and Brainspotting (Phases I-III and the Developmental Trauma Model), with additional training in Trauma-Focused CBT and Trauma-Centered Trauma Sensitive Yoga.

She specializes in trauma, attachment, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and behavioral concerns including self-harm, school avoidance, substance use, disordered eating, aggression, and family conflict. With over eight years of experience supporting high-acuity clients and families, she helps identify the root causes of dysregulation and build healthier coping patterns. She also has advanced experience in sports injury trauma, sports performance, and functional performance challenges.

Her approach is warm, practical, and evidence-based, integrating CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, mindfulness, movement-based strategies, Narrative Therapy, and family collaboration to create lasting change.
